Chapter 5: “But What Do I Wear?!”

This is usually the first question friends ask when I announce I’m going to kidnap them. Even before they know where we’re going. The answer is always, “something comfortable.”  Fashion gets the shaft. Most of the time I pretty much look like a wannabe forest ranger. I don’t even notice anymore…until I get stares from the other ladies at the grocery….

I fondly remember our road trip in bonny Scotland Jana, it warms my heart, and great to be re-awakening after some very tough years. Jazzy traveling south for 4 days today, I can’t wait. Keep writing and adventuring and keep safe. You always bring a smile to my face.

Andy, Zy, I & friend, Paul Connor got lost hiking Hawk Mtn. in PA & I was beating myself up for not bringing my “essentials” pak since we had planned just a short hike. My walking stick landed on a ground hornets nest and hornets engulfed Zy & me. It was the only time that I recall being thankful that Andy smoked as he covered us in tobacco spit wads. Shortly after the sun set we came across a Ranger Interns cabin thankfully occupied by Interns! We never forgot my emergency essentials pak again!
